Margaret Turie, a marketing coordinator for Hydro Electrix Incorporated, becomes rattled when one of her coworkers returns from a prolonged medical leave in a frightened, fugue state, believing to have died and gone to Hell. As the condition spreads across rural Massachusetts with no medical explanation, Margaret dives into an obsessive investigation of the “null space” mystery, following a trail of spreading psychosis, mad science, and supernatural forces.
